The Task

Our client, Electronic Arts, briefed us to create three digital t-shirts (one representing South Korea, another the Middle East and the last one to represent the game in general) to be part of their FUT20 video game. The kits were perks unlocked by players with high scores, giving their teams special uniforms to wear during the matches.

Progress

The work started by brainstorming themes for each of the designs, going into sketching elements before illustrating the drawings. To finalise, I meticulously applied the patterns onto the PSD model, making sure the motifs would perfectly wrap around the edges of the shirts, ready to be sent to EA’s 3D team.

Social Assets

Along with the above, I came up with social posts, having the freedom to art direct, animate and design these exports myself.

UI

Last but not least, the FUT video game style changes yearly, which requires updates across all its touchpoints. Having this in mind, I re-skinned their website, bringing the new graphics and imagery to life through a detailed process in Sketch, working closely with our developer to ensure assets were delivered in the right specifications.
